Why will you win? Have been marathon training.
Why will you lose? Can't get past my current
barrier...0.2 miles per day.

What have you done to prepare for this race?
Have been storing huge amounts of carbs since last Quest (mostly around
my waist).
What do people tend to underestimate about you?
For some reason most people mistake my blond hair as grey. I guess it looks
grey in some light.
For those that were in last year’s race…
…what was the best part of the race for you?
Working with teammates to decipher the clues and not running to internet
cafes to Google the answers. And oh yes, nearly beating Chris S.
…and what advice would you give to this year’s new
racers? Wear comfortable sneakers/shoes...seriously.
What one song have you listened to the most in your lifetime?
Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On". One year, while doing
my income tax at home, looped only that song so that it would play
continuously. Tax preparation took 3 weeks, 5 days/wk, 3 hrs every night.
I think even my family (especially Pete) would have to say it's now his
favorite.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up (and how close
did you come)? A 6' tall Adonis...missed by only 4"
What is the area of Manhattan that you know the best?
Lobby of Dave's apartment.
Who probably looks better naked – Dan or Dave (remind yourself
who is organizing the teams before writing your response)?
Don't know, don't care. Just hoping they both come fully dressed.

looks good when fully dressed...Dave's a creative genius. He is my
cleverest kid, just not my funniest.

MarieAnn and Julius, until I heard that all they did was buy a map.
What have you done to prepare for this race? Cardio and
new running shoes.
What do people tend to underestimate about you? I'm much
stronger than I appear, I just look fat.
For those that were in last year’s race…
…what was the best part of the race for you? The after
party. I was a nervous wreck until then.
…and what advice would you give to this year’s new
racers? DO NOT think this is fun.
What one song have you listened to the most in your lifetime?
"Happy Together" -The Turtles- I played it over and over till
it even made me sick, but do I imagine me and you, I do!
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up (and how close
did you come)? Telephone Operator. To me that was someone with
power..you know connecting, disconnecting, it was all your call. (no pun
intended). Didn't come close at all unless you count my affinity for the
telephone itself.
What is the area of Manhattan that you know the best?
Upper west side or financial district.
Who probably looks better naked – Dan or Dave (remind yourself
who is organizing the teams before writing your response)? I've
seen Dave naked. (okay last time he was eight, but it still excludes me
from the vote, Thank God!)
Say something nice here about Dan and Dave: Dan is a great
cook and Dave is a great eater. (sans eggs, and fish)

this is over. Just because the anticipation is killing me!
