Andy
Age: 37
Occupation: budding entrepreneur
Relation to Dan/Dave: style counselor, t-shirt maven,
and friend
Why will you win? Um, let’s be honest – we
won’t.
Why will you lose? We’re really too busy right now
to even start counting the reasons….
Not including your team, which team stands the best chance of winning?
Bill Ward and Chris Stappas, because Bill knows Manhattan better than any
of us, and Chris is just Chris and losing is just not an option. I mean,
c’mon, they are going to win – the rest of us should just start
drinking!
What have you done to prepare for this race? Wind sprints
and yoga
What do people tend to underestimate about you? How badly
we really do want to win, even though we won’t!
For those that were in last year’s race…
…what was the best part of the race for you? Observing
Dave’s stress as he planned an amazing day
…and what advice would you give to this year’s new
racers? You’re going to lose, so just show up so Dave doesn’t’
freak, and then get out of the way, watch the interesting New Yorkers and
all of those obnoxious tourists, and have fun!
What one song have you listened to the most in your lifetime? Aja
by Steely Dan
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up (and how close
did you come)? Well, Andy’s high school ambition was “to
walk between the rain drops” – so far, so good.
What is the area of Manhattan that you know the best?
Not the meat packing district. We leave that area to Dan and Dave…
Who probably looks better naked – Dan or Dave (remind yourself
who is organizing the teams before writing your response)? Now
that Dave has been dieting for a while, we’re sure he looks fabulous!
Say something nice here about Dan and Dave: If you are
ok with gay people, they’re really pretty nice overall, except when
they eat too much cheese and fart a lot.
Anything else you would like to say? You guys are the
best!

For those of you who did not enter last year’s race…
…do you have any idea what you signed up for? No clue! –
but I hear it has something to do with a Greek with an attitude who thinks
he can’t be beat, and a couple of gay guys who will be prancing around
in special uniforms.
What one song have you listened to the most in your lifetime? just
about anything by Neil Diamond
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up (and how close
did you come)? I always wanted to be a pilot, but my fear of flying
kept me out of the industry.
