As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up (and how close did you come)? An animal trainer, a professional soccer player, a veterinarian, and actress. Well I’m a sociology-anthropology major with a part-time job at the local dive bar, the Tally Ho

Say something nice here about Dan and Dave: Dave not only turned me into a black jack maven, but also trained me to be a family-wide champion in British-style croquet.

Why will you win? Because no one believes that we can, and it would be like an awesome movie ending if we did

Why will you lose? Because everyone was right, we won't win…

Not including your team, which team stands the best chance of winning? I don't know, but I'm pulling for a DeGiralamo

What have you done to prepare for this race? Meditated, banished all negative energy, cleansed my aura, released bad chi, harmonized my life...

What do people tend to underestimate about you? My sense of humor (I'M actually the funny DeGiralamo child, contrary to popular misinformation)

…what was the best part of the race for you? Being a part of it

…and what advice would you give to this year's new racers?  Be prepared for absolutely anything to occur, because knowing my brother, it might; also, speak up and make sure your voice is heard in your group and NOT ignored

What one song have you listened to the most in your lifetime? "I Want You" by Savage Garden… (I was in the fan club)

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up (and how close did you come)? Full time doctor, part time ballerina. I am so far from this original plan that it's actually laughable

What is the area of Manhattan that you know the best? 27th and Madison, my second home
